i must admit I have never been a huge fan of porridge, I don't know why but... I remember the times I drank porridge was when it was sweet and a bit sour, that's the only time i could stand it.
so it really did surprise me when this recipe came about because funny enough the similarity is what made me love it. When I added lemon, It sealed the deal and now am hooked to raw porridge..
The kids will love it because you can mix with different flavors, herbs and fruits and you can have it cold or warm.

Ingredients
1 cup Oats
2 large bananas
1/2 teaspoon Cardamom
1/2 cup Macadamia [you can use cashews, almonds etc]
1 clove
2-3 Pitted Dates
1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
Juice from 1 lemon [optional yet good for sour taste]
1/2 liter water [substitute with raw milk or beet juice or any other fresh vegetable or fruit juice]
pinch of salt
Blend everything to chosen consistency.
Serve and enjoy
Note: To make a warm cup of raw porridge substitute with hot water but not boiling to the mix, except the bananas then add them last for about 5-8 sec. Enjoy!
